joanne is grumpy and irritable after a very short nap which she is forced to wake up from. the state of busy-ness that i am in now is crazy. ever since school started, i haven had time for myself. the 24 hours a day that i have is spent on assignments, projects, readings or MC stuff, with barely enough time for sleep and definitely not enough time for me to engage in any forms of leisure or relaxation, i feel like i am going mad. i must have been blind when i chose the 5 mods that i am studying for now... 6 assignments due at the end of this month: madness!!
i used to enjoy the busy-ness, like how i feel like i am not wasting my time away, doing things that i like and want to do. but now, its a total different story. MC is really draining me out...
okays, jus ignore me. my mood hasnt been good since that day and plus the tiredness, it doesnt make me a very nicee person to be ard. i have been trying to control my emotions but sometimes some people jus irritate the hell out of me that i cant help it but lose my temper. argh! grrrr!! thank god for the dearies i have in sch! ((: they make life all the more bearable!
dec hols! pls come faster! i need to recharge my batteries!! i need a good long break! sometimes i jus feel like escaping to a remote island and jus relax on the beach with a glass of cold drink in hand. okies, thinking too far off le... sigh

i realise that i do not blog as often le cause sch life has become sorta a routine thing which is not very exciting! hahahas... but i am still enjoying sch! :)) i'm back in school now on a sunday for clubroom clean up of which i am super early.
had a tiring but fun day yest! went to the museum with shiru and michelle yest for our history assignment. we were supposed to visit the asian civilization museum and see how they link all the Asian civilizations and write a report on it. super sian. at first we were taking down notes den we realised that it was impossible so in the end, we ended up taking photos of the different exhibits together with its explanations and attempt to piece together everything when we get home! for the first time in my life, i realised that a visit to the museum can be such a tiring thing!
of cos in the midst of the museum exploration, being the camwhore lovers that we are, how can we not take lots of crazy photos with the exhibits? whahahahas! even when we are super chui, we still managed to take abt 45 photos!
after museum, i met jovena and ming for dinner. wanted to eat at astons de but the quene was crazy so in the end, we went to some place at the basement. the food only so so, but the price is horrendous! ohmitian! the waiter was super chui also! i did a hand gesture to fill my cup and he brought me the bill! ohmygoodness!
after dinner, we went to macs to have ice cream and caramel frappe. ta dah! i saw kailing and xin yun! hahahas! so qiao! jus when i was thinking of xin yun and she was thinking of me! whahahs! i was thinking of xinyun cause i wore my 3 for $10 10 carat diamond ring yest and she was thinking of me cause she walk past lucky plaza where i bought my ring from! hahahahas!
nicee time gossiping with ming and jovena! :) there were a lot of juicy gossips and shocking news to go ard! :D met up soon again!! :D

after lots of thinking on my part these 2 days, i finally saw the light at the end of the tunnel :)) even though it took me 2 months plus to finally 想通, but at least its late better than never.
i was angry. but i realise that i am not in a position to be angry, for it was I who started the ignoring game, making things awkward. back then, it was cause i really didnt know how to face him. i think that what he must have been feeling back then would be similar to how am i feeling now. 莫名其妙would be the best word to desribe the situation. 只想为我的任性、 我的倔强、我的幼稚对你造成的伤害说一声对不起。希望以后还是朋友 :))
i feel as if suddenly the blind fold that has been covering my 'eyes' for so long has been removed. suddenly i am able to see the friends who love me, suddenly i am able to see the rainbow that so many people have been trying to point out to me....
these few days i have been paranoid about how i think the world is a scary place because i dunno the people who i meet are real nice or are they fake nice. talking to sab, shiru and ashton made me feel that i am indeed blessed to have them ard :)))

it is a cause for celebration for i have finished typing the 27 pages mintues for the first ordinary meeting! it almost took my life! oh my goodness! many many more to come!
while waiting to play dodge ball at SRC on a Friday night, i shall blog about children's day! :D
had a ALPHEUS dinner at new york new york on wed which was a children's day cum hari raya! we were supposed to meet at 6pm at city hall and for once i was the earliest to arrive at 5.30! there was nothing to shop so i went to burger king and entertained mysef with my DS.
ehs, surprise surprise! yanwei was the first to arrive wors! at 6.05pm with xinyun and subsequently we just waited at the mrt for everyone to come. there was no more big table available at nyny so the waiters jus merged like 3 tables for us.
me,shiru and sab decided to order 3 dishes and share them. i was feeling adventurous so i suggested sharing the giant burger which costs $32.90! boy was it giant! we put ashton's sandwich against the plate of the burger and it was really 小巫见大巫！i shall upload the photos later to prove my point! and to add to the giant burger, the 3 of us ordered another half chicken pasta! faints! my stomach almost burst! whoo hoo!
the last time me, sab and pok were at nyny, we didnt managed to get the candy floss. so this time after we had placed our orders, we ran to the candy floss machine and asked the waiter if we could have candy floss :D he demostrated on how to scoop the candy floss up with the chopstick and he gave us chopstick to try. when he started the machine, he was like 'ok, now you can put the chopstick in!' but the 3 of us were having question marks swimming ard our minds! where is the candy floss?? in the end, the guy gave up and jus scoop the candy floss out for us :D
ashton made a dice out of the candy floss! i use the tomato sauce to dot the numbers onto the dice but the moment the tomato sauce touched the 'dice', it burnt through the candy floss like some kind of acid! there was this huge gaping hole in the middle of the dice and being the person who is afraid of holes, my hair stood up! oh my god! the rest of them were still trying to throw the dice at me tho i was like shrieking and trying to get away! in the end, i threw it into a glass of water and it disappeared like magic! leaving behind the remains of the tomato sauce at the bottom of the cup!
apparently, there is a challenge at nyny that if an individual can finish the giant burger on his/her own, they wouldn have to pay for the burger and they will get free flow of root beer! all these we were only told when the waiter came to clear the plate! like what the?? so we made a pact with the waiter that next time sab will come to nyny and finish the burger herself and in return she will get the candy floss machine! :D
though there was only 9 of us: shiru, xinyun, sab, yanwei, ivan, edwin, melvin, ashton and me, i must say that it is a hell load of fun! i love the feeling that though we do not get to hang out as often as we like in sch, the bonds between us doesnt diminish. we can still talk, laugh and poke fun at one another :)) the wonders of fate that brought us together (((:

i herby declare that nanyang has the best studying environment ard! i went back to nanyang to study with dory last sat and oh my god was i productive! :D at first we thought that we would just study at the atrium on one of those round tables. den we saw that the 2nd floor classrooms were occupied by students so we thought that we would try our luck and went to the 3rd floor. to our surprise and delight, the classrooms were not locked too! so we decided to try our luck further and headed to the air con classrooms at the 5th level. BINGO! we tried the lep classroom and it was not locked so viola! we had a aircon classroom all to ourselves for the afternoon with no one to disturb us! :D so lucky that no teachers or security guards came to chase us away! :D me and dory are going back to study at nanyang again 2 weeks from now! :)) here i come productiveness!
changing landscapes test totally killed me yest! the multiple choice ques was like can jumble up ur brain de. at the first glance, you might jus tick one of the choices as ur answer but when you go back and look at the ques again, you find that there are other possible answers too! and you start staring very hard at the ques trying to find out is then the act answer!
there was a tea reception for student leaders yest and sab having no where to go after changing landscapes test followed me and kaimin to the reception. she was 'a member of the sub committee from the econs department'! whahahahahs! damn funny and we had may narrow misses! like when people ask about econs society stuff, sab and i would be stammering and we are like kaimin pls come and save us!! the most narrow miss was when we were talking to TC Chang and he was asking sab how is the econs room now? where is it located and similar stuff?! we were shit! den kiamin appeared at the right time and i quickly point to kaimin and say 'there is the econs pres!' den me and sab escaped to the toilet laughing till our sides ache! whahahahas!
there were a lot people who say that me and sab look alike! :)) when we tell them that we are sisters, they really believe! hohohoho! sab is my year 3 sister! :D
i am never going anywhere near kaimin! i was going home with him yest and he kept trying to persuade me to take 151 which i refused since i had a bad experience taking 151 with him last time! but alas! heaven was not my side! bus 10 left jus when we were walking down the slope! despite running for it, we couldnt catch the bus also! and at this time, of all buses, 151 had to come so i resigned to my fate and took 151 with him! den! jus as the 151 was leaving the terminal, i saw the other bus 10 coming out of its parking lot! ohmitian! and the 151 that i was in was stuck in a jam and it took me 2 hours to reach home and i was late for tuition!! argh! khaw kaimin!!
it was like a slap in the face. just when i thought all was over, this just had to happen. when i was all alone, the defenses came crumbling down again. how can tmr be a better day?

whoo hoo! had a great stress relieving day today!
after an almost whole week of attempted mugging to not much success, i went out with 三蛇帮today to relief stress! hahahas... me and sab wanted to watch wall.e but pok dun want cause she said that wall.e very robotic and that she come join us for lunch only. hahahas... but under intense peer pressure, she gave in and watched with us in the end! :D
before we went to buy movie tix, we saw this 3 for $10 shop and we just walked in to look at the sunglasses. we went into a frenzy trying the frames. so we decided to each look for the frame that will bring out the nerdy look in us! we were so engrossed that we almost forgot the time!
the straits time on sunday was right, lido cinema seriously smells! the mixture of food smell is ohmitian! smells like vomit! i love my student pass! we got to buy the tix at 6 bucks each!
wall.e is cool! esp the part when the 2 roborts fall in love. darn funny! :P after wall.e, we went back to the 3 for $10 shop to try on even more frames and aloha! after almost half an hour of trying, we have our respective frames! we shopped ard a little and i am surprised at what you can find in such a shop! i managed to get 3 rings together with one pair of earrings! sab got 1 ring together with a purse and pok got one ring! i finally found rings that could fit my short and fat banana fingers! :P
we had a little snack at macs afterwards. i was running late for my jap lesson but 老大and老小 tag team managed to convince me to buy my caramel frappe! whahahas! it is defintely a cheaper alternative to the starbucks one!
yay! another movie date for mama mia next tues! i hope i can change my tuition slot! :D i cant wait to wear our geeky specs to sch and see what everyone's reaction will be! whahahahas! geekyness is the new in thing! :D
tues night had FASS appreciation dinner. lucky the girls came to a concensus to not wear gowns if not we will be super overdressed! for the first time in my life, i sat at the VIP table with the school personnels which was like super awkward cause i didnt know what to say to them. so i jus concentrated on my food and taking photos. my camera almost exploded! 100 over photos were taken! i almost died uploading them on facebook!

soci is draining me out mans! feel so tired after rewatching the webcast for soci lect 5 and 6! oh god! now my notes are like god knows what, scribblings here and there in diff colours!
joanne has something which she absolutely dislikes now and that is staying over in sch, in the company of disgusting people. i never heard a more digusting conversation in my life. the conversation started on quite an ok note but it jus got more and more disgusting towards the end. all i know is that wherever the conversation led to, it jus made me lose total respect for the losers. you all should all jus quit school and hang ard geylang or pubs waiting for any 'drunken girl' to hit on and 'have fun with her'. we are as human as you! not some sex toy/slave for you to play ard with!! super offensive things were said and when i heard it, i was in total shock. at that moment i felt so lost i didnt know what to do, only knowing to cry and hope someone can get me out of this nightmare! take ur shit as far away as possible, dun link us into your disgusting world. suddenly everyone in there seemed so fake, not knowing who to trust.
i talked to pok, sab, shiru, yanwei and ashton abt it. they were saying that its disgusting but not shocking. they were saying taht i am very very protected which is why things like this can be very shocking for me. sometimes too much shock is not a good thing. it made me really want to quit the comm there and then. but yanwei said something which make me stop. think of why i joined in the first place. i guess so. so now those freaks are just my 'colleagues', outside 'work' i wouldnt hang out with them. i dun see the need to have so called bonding sessions with them, i will jus do my work so that they wouldnt have anything to bitch abt. and yanwei was right, treasure alpheus, treasure the friendships which i do, very dearly too :)) i thank god for bringing them into my life and i hope that no matter what, things wouldnt change. i want to have them by my side throughout uni, supporting me and always showering me with love and concern :))
ashton helped lifted my mood by helping me find the pooh bear movie 'springtime with roo'! he was talking abt childhood cartoons when i told him that if he could find the above movie for me, i will call him superman! goodness! after relectlessly finding it for years without results, ashton managed to find it for me! and watching it made me retreat back to my own comfort zone again :) oh wells, it lifted my spirits.
went for the tiong bahru fieldtrip on sat. interesting! there were really hidden places in tiong bahru that i have not seen before :D makes me wish that i was back in the 1960s and 1970s. the days of the cha cha and oldies! :p though i was really super tired from the lack of sleep and carrying a 2kg laptop ard!
i love my daddy and mummy! hee hee! my dad was overseas during the weekend because his company had an all expenses paid trip for its employees. so it was my mum bro and me. went to hougang mall for lunch and my mum sponsored me a pretty dress that we saw in iora :)) my dad jus came home and he bought me this really cute bag and tee shirt! hoho!
like what i said, my family matters a lot to me. i wouldnt listen to your nonsense abt placing MC within the top 3 priority and placing my family last! you can choose to forgo YOUR family, but dun expect me to do the same!

i talked to pok, sab, shiru, yanwei and ashton abt it. they were saying that its disgusting but not shocking. they were saying taht i am very very protected which is why things like this can be very shocking for me. sometimes too much shock is not a good thing. it made me really want to quit the comm there and then. but yanwei said something which make me stop. think of why i joined in the first place. i guess so. so now those freaks are just my 'colleagues', outside 'work' i wouldnt hang out with them. i dun see the need to have so called bonding sessions with them, i will jus do my work so that they wouldnt have anything to bitch abt. and yanwei was right, treasure alpheus, treasure the friendships which i do, very dearly too :)) i thank god for bringing them into my life and i hope that no matter what, things wouldnt change. i want to have them by my side throughout uni, supporting me and always showering me with love and concern :))
ashton helped lifted my mood by helping me find the pooh bear movie 'springtime with roo'! he was talking abt childhood cartoons when i told him that if he could find the above movie for me, i will call him superman! goodness! after relectlessly finding it for years without results, ashton managed to find it for me! and watching it made me retreat back to my own comfort zone again :) oh wells, it lifted my spirits.
went for the tiong bahru fieldtrip on sat. interesting! there were really hidden places in tiong bahru that i have not seen before :D makes me wish that i was back in the 1960s and 1970s. the days of the cha cha and oldies! :p though i was really super tired from the lack of sleep and carrying a 2kg laptop ard!
i love my daddy and mummy! hee hee! my dad was overseas during the weekend because his company had an all expenses paid trip for its employees. so it was my mum bro and me. went to hougang mall for lunch and my mum sponsored me a pretty dress that we saw in iora :)) my dad jus came home and he bought me this really cute bag and tee shirt! hoho!
like what i said, my family matters a lot to me. i wouldnt listen to your nonsense abt placing MC within the top 3 priority and placing my family last! you can choose to forgo YOUR family, but dun expect me to do the same!
i rebonded my hair! :D cause i really want to leave it long and my hair was already becoming like a bush sticking out here and there. and curling like nobody's business. but it burnt a hole in my pocket! bleahx! oh wells! and i bought a tub of 56 lollipops! assorted flavours! so far ashton and yanwei has booked the watermelon and cola flavour respectively! looks like i need to go and sort them out le!:D

oh mans! i woke up today feeling a sprain on my neck which hurts like hell now. i think i slept at the wrong position last night :(( now i cant even lower my head properly cause it hurts!
anyways , joanne is super motivated to study now since she had bought lots of new pens and highlighters! hohoho! went on a pen shopping frenzy at NUS Co-op yest! cause i only have black and blue pens with me and my lect notes are seriously boring! so i bought a green, pink and orange pen! together with a honey yellow and apricot red highlighter! yeah mans! now my textbooks and notes will be full of colours! now i wonder who will want to buy my textbooks next semester! :D
yest was a happy happy and sad day! happy cause i had lunch with the jiemeis plus zhijun, yanwei, cindi and ashton! i had laska yong tau foo for the first time and it is a day to remember! :D i was so happy when i managed to finish the laska without a single drop of laska on my blouse. only to find that there are laska stains on my WHITE pants during soci lecture! argh! white pants! lucky it was quite faint!
we had a high time talking, laughing and looking at the yearbooks which me and sab brought! hahas! they couldnt recognize me! i had longer hair and wore specs in J1! hahaha... it was like back to the good old days :)) yeah mans! alpheus totally rocks my socks off!
sad because i lost my cashcard! on tues we were in a hurry to photocopy history notes and we were almost late for history lecture! so i forgot to eject my cash card from the photocopy machine! and the best thing is that i jus top up my cashcard and there is about 18 bucks inside!
:(( i hope the person who took my cash card will fall flat on his/her butt!

oooh.. this weeek is super packed with all the meetings and readings to be done! seriously thank god for recess week next week mans! i am going to hole myself up at home and mugg my butt off! no one and nothing is going to tear me away from my readings! it is going to be a race against time!
i did 2 malu things today!
1. I took the lift from the mrt station to the bus stop at harbourfront station. there was only 3 buttons in a row. B1,1 and the alarm button. i was too busy on my Nitendo and i conveniently pressed the alarm button! oh my goodness!! and it started to dial some weird number and the ringing tone was heard! i was like shit! i tried to pressed the button again to cancel it but it jus continue ringing! ohmitian! i could hear the guy behind me snickering los! gosh! there was the longest lift ride in my entire life mans! i kept praying that no one would answer the phone whoever and wherever the stupid button connected the call to! when the lift FINALLY arrived at level 1, i zoomed out of the lift and ran to the bus stop!
2. after history lecture, we wanted to throw away rubbish. da jie's hand was full with her laptop so she ask me to throw the rubbish away for her. she handed me a potato chips packaging and a drink can. think that the drink can was empty liao, i threw my lollipop stick and wrapper into the drink can. da jie looked at me in stun-ness and said 'inside still got drink de lehs'. i think my mouth formed the most perfect O! den we both jus started laughing and laughing non stop!
i tried to throw the drink can into the overflowing rubbish bin with no success and i put it on the flap. it almost overturned and the most instinct reaction was to scream out loud! everyone outside lt 11 jus turned and look at us! but i must say that i wasnt the one with the loudest scream! :p
oh yeah! i sat in da jie's car today! hahas! me ans sab was heading to admin block and da jie offered us a ride. her car super cool! she inspired me to go and learnn driving! :D hahas! but she had to shift her chair right to the front and sitting behind her, i had the most amount of leg room! ahahahahas!
lollipop craze!! had lunch with sab and yanwei today. da ge kept his promise of buying lollipop for me! :D cause the last time he told me that need to go club room more often but i told him that i need lollipop to overcome my phobia of the messiness! hahahas.. to my surprise, he 一口答应了！yay! not only that, sab now owes me a lollipop and if i get 10/10 for my chinese test, ashton will buy me a lollipop too! hahas... i am so going to get tooth decay! :D even sab's fren commented that our og people always seem to have a lollipop in our mouth! hahahas!

the moon outside is big and round! had a really enjoyable mooncake festival this year! ((:
my whole weekend was burnt trying to do my very first history term paper and it totally chui me out! how many hours i spend on the laptop and textbook trying to find answers and points? how people have i asked for help? how many times have i sighed? how many times i want to tear the question paper in shreds? hahas... not that dramatic but it really wore me out! i finally finished the essay at 11.29 pm today!
anyways, the mooncake dinner with my relatives gave me a much needed break yest! good food and good laughs! after dinner, they came back to my house to supposedly 看月亮and吃月饼 but being the gambling addicts that we were, how could we resist the urge whenever we come together?? hoho! i threw aside my history essay and totally immersed myself in the world of gambling! and boy am i glad i did! cause i won $25! :p yeah man!
i had a rare chance to engage in some leisure activities today. after changing landscape lecture, me, pok and sab went to YIH to satisfy my craving for subway cookies! wanted to buy the cookies but when i smelled the aroma of the bread, i bought the subway meal also! :p sab bought biscuits from cheers and pokie bought subway cookies. so we sat there and chit chat. halfway, my tutee msg me to say that he dun wan tuition tonight cause he have heaedache which was super good news for me! :D so we stayed and chit chat until sab had to go for muay thai! thats about 2.5 hours of solid talk :D
yup, that was my leisure activity! taking time out from my hetic schedule to spend time with my beloved girlfriends :)) i enjoyed the talking nonsense and HTHT-ing :)) now we are known as the 三蛇帮！

haven had the time to blog since i am so freakingly tired when i reach home everyday!
life has been a rollar coaster ride since joining MC. always rushing here and rushing there like a chicken that has lost its head! hopefully i would be able to find joy and fun in this state of busy-ness :)) what ming said was right, treat it as a long fun rollar coaster ride and before i know it, it will be all over.
nothing much to update too. stupid ivan has been going round telling people that they can cut queue in the canteen and chop seats in the LT using my name! his most classical comment for now is 'using my name can chop 3 seats, use Joanne's name can chop 3 rows!' ohmitian! spoiling my reputation even before i step into office! bleahx!
i did something malu on sunday! the singtel people was supposed to come and fix my modemn to change it to wireless but they didnt come at the allocated time so they called my hp. it was a witheld number and i thought it was pok cause she always call me with her house phone which is also a private number. thinking that it was her, i commented into the phone 'pok pok pok pok! want to fight and go to war izzit??' the person on the other side of the phone stunned! it was only when they said 'ms chan, we are calling from singnet.' oh my goodness! i could have bury myself in a hole mans! so malu! and that pok still dare to laugh so loud when i told her abt it!
i think i had a picnic during soci lecture yest! cause when lecture ended, the area ard me was filled with lollipop wrappers, chocolate packaging, sandwich foil etc! :D
ashton msg-ed me on monday telling me that he got 9.5/10 for a jap test contrary to the one that he failed previously. so i said ok! i buy lollipop for you as encouragement! ahahahas... den he was like is it exclusive? and i was like 'yeah yeah, exclusive for you from the hon gen sec!' but pls dun tell ppl that when they get good grades they can come to me for lollipop! i will be super busy if everyone does that! hahahas.. but i dun mind buying lollipops for my ALPHEUS! :)) we are a bunch of lollipop addicts! :D

this is the first blog post from my new PINK LAPPIE! yeah mans! i have been missing for about donkey years! too tired to recall what really happen in the past 2 weeks or so. the major thing that happened is that now i am the honorary general secretary(hon gen sec) for the 29th Management Committee :))
last weekend was whisked off for rites of passage(ROP) aka takan camp for the elects. :D its a camp to prepare us for MC life and it really pushed us physically and mentally. after dialouge session, i was really doubting my ability to handle MC stuff and studies but chuan seng was telling me to go for ROP before making a decision. during ROP, there was really an internal struggle within me as well. i wanted to quit but the 29th made me stop. i think the bond between us have already been forged and i know i will feel super guilty for abandoning them. in the end, i stayed on and at this point of time, i am really glad that i did not give up! :))
ROP made me a stronger person but it also made me a pai ka! i have a stress induced fracture on my right ankle :( i strained my ankle on the first night during the 8km run which obviously i didnt finish all 8km. 2nd day was walking ard singapore for 9 hours and southern ridges at night so it was overwork on the ankle. plus the 3rd day during the ROP march, i fell down the stairs thus the injury! oh well, now i am stuck with unglam slippers to wear to sch everyday! :S
evaluation by the seniors on sunday showed me sides of myself that i have not seen before. yupp, i will work towards being a better person by capitalising on my strengths and improving on my weakness :) evaluation ended at about 12, so me, ivan and yanwei stayed over in the arts club room after supper at fong seng. my first lecture was at 12pm on monday and i managed to sleep until about 11.10 before going for lect. super shiok!
internal elections on wed night almost killed me! we took 9 hours from 7pm to 3am to elect the president, vice president and hon gen sec into office! after that, everyone jus passed the confidence vote to vote the rest into office meaning that no more presentations and Q&As cause we were so super tired! the whole internals ended at about 6.
i was booted out during the run for vice president. but the run for hon gen sec was successful :)) it was my second choice and up to now i still cant believe that i got the post! when i first joined MC, i never imagined myself taking up this post, i was intent on getting the post for FOP chairperson. yupps, so now the hon gen sec i am! :) thankies to everyone for the constant encouragement and support during this trying period of time!
today when i was walking ard sch, everyone was like 'whoo hoo! hon gen sec sia!' hahas... esp that stupid ivan who keeps calling me 'big shot'! and melvin and ashton have been clowns over my post as well as can seen from my tag board! hahas! they make me roll on the floor with laughter! hahahahas! excuse me! i'm still a commoner alrights? hahahas!
for now, i am going to bury and drown myself in my readings! :(( not an exactly ideal way to spend the weekend!

happy birthday pok and ruoyi!
had a mini bday celebration for the august pple today :)) was supposed to be og dinner on sunday de but 4/4 of the birthday peeps could not make it on sunday so we changed it to celebrating it in sch today!
sab went to buy the balloons and the cake from secret recipe. helium balloons that the birthday girl and boys had to carry ard sch! :D pok's face was priceless when she saw the balloon during changing landscape lect :D
pok kept telling me that she want to run away cause we keep her in the suspense. so after lect while the rest went to the arts club room to get the cake, i had to grab onto pok's hand and not let her escape! in our search for the toilet and walking up the stairs, pok's balloon hit a girl square in the face! opps!
the cake is nicee! :) super chocolately and i had a hard time trying to divide the cake! hahas... cause the cake was super big and we had a limited number of pple! in the end, i think the birthday peeps slice of the cake equals to one mini cake! :D sorry lahs, i really dunno how to cut!
took lots of pics again after my camera stagnant for abt 1 week plus? :D izzit jus a gut feeling or do my smiles dun look as cheery as last time's pics? -shrugs- no more bright sunny smiles.

yesh! i got my desired tutorial slots! now i look forward to every tutorial cause i got wonderful tutorial mates with me! :D i felt so chui when i found out that 4/5 of my tutorials were without tut mates even after careful planning with sab and pris. :( so after the swopping ballot, i managed to get the 2 chinese tut slots i wan. soci and changing landscapes didnt allow me to change on CORS and they even rejected my appeals so i went back to sch today today to do manual registration with sab.
the geog department allowed me to change my tutorial slot without even asking for the reason. and so when i went to the soci department i jus told them timetable clash for the odd even weeks :D me and sab wanted to change over to DO12, the slot that pok, ivan and da jie was in but that class full le, so i jus changed over to sab's slot EO3 :)) i managed to peek at the name list and xuewei is in that class too! so next time do project dun need scared no pple le! :))
yesh! me and ivan are running for arts club management committee(MC)! at first i dunno if ivan was for real or jus lying again, but turns out that he is telling the truth! cause if he pang seh me, he is going to become a turtle! gosh, i cant believe that i actually got the guts to run for MC! i jus praying and hoping that there is no external elections! if there is, i will have to mobilize ALPHEUS! :D
the person that i didnt want to see most i saw yest. got a rude shock when i got off the phone and turned ard. trying my utmost best to block out his voice and concentrated on just talking to other people. it didnt help that they were repeatedly asking him about THE GIRL. when sab wanted to go to the arts canteen, i lept up from my seat and followed. i dunno how much longer i could hang in there. when we came back, he kept trying to ask abt something and i realise i couldnt look at him in the face. so i jus gave the answer while looking at the trees, looking at the grass, at the pple walking past. anywhere but at him. all this had to happen when i thought i was beginning to walk out of it le, all defenses came crumbling down when i was walking home.
oh well, what the hell. I am thankful for the pple who were trying to protect me yest by trying to divert the topic, esp sab. :)) and of cos shiru who was talking to me on the phone at night. :) argh! burn his hair!

starting to get back into the hang of school with lectures started and tutorials starting next week. i realise that i act like copying notes :p. i enjoyed hist lecture today :) the prof for the india lect was funny but the prof for the china lect total chui! his korean accent is so thick that you cant really catch his sentence proper which is why we had that 'huh' face throughout his one hour segment!
had htht lunch with da jie at munchie monkey today :)) shiru straightened her hair! nicee! now she looks like a studious girl :D we had the set lunch which was really worth it. $13.90 for spaghetti, soup, ice cream brownie and a drink. but by the end of the meal, we were too full to even walk! first time htht-ing with da jie :)) the really heart to heart, telling her what shit i have been feeling and getting advice on how to deal with it. thankies da jie! loves! and she bought a packet of gummy bears for me again! :D
from the time i found out till now, there has been a series of on going emotions in me: sadness, disappointment, bitterness, anger,hopelessness, stupidity...
the impact has hit me full blast but up to today, it hasnt really sunk in yet.(a bit of contradiction) it seems so unreal and even him seems to be non-existant already. now i'm jus numbed and constantly staring into space, walking the corridors with caution, praying tat i wouldnt see him. what a difference from the joanne who used to jump ard with seemingly endless energy and always looking forward to having a glimpse.
anyways, i'm really grateful for the support and love that my frens have shown me during this period of time. shiru, pok, sab, mingyee, ashton, sherman,yanwei, zhijun, pamela,ivan, yumin.
esp shiru, pok, sab,pam. these girls have been there since day one, they know the story from the beginning to the end. from how hopeful became hopelessness and how smiles became tears.
thank you for all the smses, calls, blog tags, msn msgs, huggs :)) with the love and help from my frens, i will be strong and walk out of this phase soon. :D i believe i am strong!

it has been one weekend of hell... having to suppress emotions at home and wanting to cry at random times. wanting to escape the suffocating atmosphere at home, i jio-ed the girls out for dinner yest. it was a totally last min decision and i was quite surprised when sab and pok said they could make it :))
arranged to meet them at city hall mrt cause i wanted to eat new york new york. i regretted. pok was late! everytime she meet me sure late de but everytime i also never get to burn her hair. unfairness! :D
we didnt have to queue for long cause we were ahead of the dinner crowd and we got a table next to the kitchen. as usual when i am at nyny, i will take super long to decide what i wan2 eat. when we finally ordered, i'm super shock at the amount of food we ordered! 3 main courses, one calamari rings, one clam chowder soup, one mud pie and one apple crepe! shared among 3 girls!
talking and laughing with them eased my tensions... and pok did somthing really funny! the waiter refilled her glass of water and i think he was waiting for pok to look at him before he put down the cup. but pok became very very interested in the pcitures on the world so she was totally ignoring him and he was jus standing there waiting and waiting. me and sab jus burst out laughing! :D it was only then that pok sensed something amiss and turn ard! :D
mud pie was total heaven! the chocolate and the ice cream! oh mans! when we walked into nyny, me and sab said we want to take the candy floss later but by the time we finished our 2 plates of dessert, we jus didnt have the space to stomach the candy floss! :S this was how full we were! and my jaw dropped when the bill came! $89.65! this is how much we can eat!
after shopping we went to walk ard,esp shoes cause i need to get flats. all my shoes are heels! the pok super fierce lahs! she didnt allow me to go near the heels section in every shoe shop we went into and she even threaten to knock me on the head with the heels! violence!
didnt see any shoe to my liking but the 3 of us found new stationary to use in sch on monday! yayness! at least new stationary can lift my mood :) we were still happily choosing the pens we want when the store was like closing le!
took crazy photos b4 we left for home and the unglam photos are on facebook!

total shock... total numbness...
i should have seen it coming, i knew from the very beginning but i chose to ignore it. i chose to shove it to the back of my head and pretend that it didnt exist. i was contented to just let myself sink in and go high and crazy.
the impact fully sank in when i woke up from nap. the tears jus flowed and flowed... the girls were saying that i shouldnt be so affected but thats jus my reaction. the hurt is there.
choose what i think is best for me? i am only left with one choice, the choice which i am most unwilling to choose. when i'm alone and start thinking nonsense, the tears flow. when i talk to the girls, the tears flow. i'm going crazy! why is it that in a space of 2 weeks, everything changes so drastically??

the weekend has started for me! yesh, its a 3 day week for me without tutorials. i think with tutorials, it would be 4 day week. :(( spreading my timetable out is not a bad idea too ba, if not my 3 days will be super super packed.
monday was cl2207 and changing landscapes lecture. cl2207 was depressing mans with so many seniors ard and i was the only one in the mod. it was when siow yi suddenly burst into the classroom that this mod seem to brighten up! :D this mod is seriously starting to scare me cans? with the term paper having to write a report of 5000 words! faints!
changing landscapes had pok, jiayi and sab as lect mates so it was a much nicer mod! :))
grabbed a bite with cindi, kaimin, zhijun, ade, pok, sherman, shiru, sab, mingee and hong ping at engineering canteen :)) indo food was nicee! and cheap! cindi ordered extra rice and the uncle stared at her in amazement!
kenna cheated by kaimin to take 151 when he say take with him got company! but in the end, he drop at like ngee ann poly! oh man! i sleep wake up 151 still haven reach hougang! and it was 151 express some mroe!
tues had only hist lect and i went to sch earlier to have lunch with sab after her geog lect. i reached sch half an hour early and i went arts canteen to wait for them. wows! i realise how super intimidating it is to walk through campus alone and esp walking into arts canteen where everyone was in grps!
lect only 40 mins for the lecturer to settle admin stuff! i came to sch jus for a 40 mins lect! oh mans! felt super cheated! in the end, me and sab decided on impromptu dinner with yanwei whose lect finish at 6! headed over to YIH to get our ex-link and hand in tuition grant form. yesh! finally can buy concession and not have my heart stop each time i tap my ez link card!
we had dinner at white dog's cafe at vivo cause i had craving for spagetti but in the end i had seafood cheese baked rice while sab and yanwei were the ones having spagetti :D the ambience was good :)) though it was freezing like crazy. me and sab had jackets to keep us warm while yanwei has to keep rubbing his hand against the cup of hot water :D
the crazy us had ben and jerry's for dessert! :D we had $5 change left over and we didnt know how to spilt so we headed over to ben and jerry's :)) we had the 3 scoops ice cream and yanwei ended up treating us for the remainder :) yanwei rocks! hahas...
though dinner was really impromptu and it never crossed my mind one day that the 3 of us would be having dinner together, i enjoyed myself :) gd food, gd company, gd frens :)))

my world came crumbling down after jus one month plus. my mood is jus like the weather outside now, rainy and grey :(( everything just changed all of a sudden, no warning signs, no cracks, no nothing... there are times when i really feel like slapping myself for behaving the way i behaved this past week-- all whiny and watery. mayb pok was right, i have been too shelthered all my life and i have not really been subjected to any mega hurt YET.
after talking to the councillors and to the girls, i came to realise that its nobody's fault. everyone has the right to choose their own way of life, i cant force them to revolve ard me all day long. its too selfish and stupid a thing. but i still cant help but feel depressed by it. i jus hope that no matter what and no matter where, i can always count on the fact that you guys will be there for me :))

feeling super chui emotionally and physically now.
O week has ended, the O week which i have been a part of for 4days! being back at O week as a freshie councillor totally beats lying ard at home and going down to CDC for blood tests! my first day back was flag day and i was so worried that my mum wouldnt allow me to go for beach games! i spent so much saliva persuding her that i would wear a cap and put sun block and blah blah blah!
got a msg in the middle of the night telling me that i was supposed to be station ic for beach games and i got a shock cause like i only came back for O week and suddenly i was supposed to be station ic? hahas... seems that my house ic submitted my name in but i changed with pok in the end cause i wanted to be jumping ard and doing cheers and pok wanted to be station ic :))
wasnt really burnt during beach day cause i had sunblock! but there was a stretch of red across my face esp my nose! only played one or two games cause this time was more of leading cheers and carrying all the brain food ard... oh wells, its a diff kind of fun! this time mass games was slightly diff cause its not the usual water bomb games, its the house forming a bridge for pple to cross and jump into the sea! it sure looks painful! me, pok and pam left early.
thurs was war games at west coast park! wows, couldnt wake up in time to meet the og at clementi interchange and i was late for half an hour! thank god they were still there when i reached if not i really dunno how to make my way to west coast park! the freshie turn up for war games was not bad and there were enough pple for us to play ji ge ji ge zhan qi lai! hahas... shiru say the councillors didnt teach them this game cause they were waiting for me to come back and play! :D fun fun fun! in the end, i who initiated the game had to do forfeit! passing a newater water bottle with our armpits and mouth! sounds damn gross!
war games i played more games and there was this passing the food with ur mouth game which was like totally gross! oh man! esp the potato chips and noodle! but at least i was the second one in line den not so er xin! it was super tempting to eat the food! esp porky!
and the captain ball game which is using fruits as the balls. so tempted to eat the watermelon! :D but the orange smell jus sticks to you the whole day long! yanwei's station was damn disgusting with the chilli, bbq and curry sauce plus paint! faints! my white shorts total kenna!
i opened the packet of gummy bears that shiru bought for me and everyone started chasing after me for the gummy bears until shiru opened her packet of M&Ms den my gummy bears became safe!
after war games was lunch on our own so we headed down to queensway to get our alpheus singlet to wear for rag day! yeah man! its sooo nicee!! but i tink i ordered the singlet size too big liao cause the side damn bigg!! ate at kfc at anchor point and while the rest went back to sch for finale, i stayed behind with 2 fresh freshies, winnie and xuan ting to finish my cheesey melts and chit chat :)
fri was rag day! met pok early in the morn to go sch. we were at vivo super early and all the glass doors haven open so we were going from door to door to try out which sliding door was operating! it was the third door! and when we were jumping out of vivo, we saw bus 10 and w went argh! the pple at the bus stop got a shock and they turned ard to look at us! it also doesnt help that we were running like elephants! though malu, we jus couldnt stop laughing when we got onto the bus! :D
rag started at 10 but we were in sch at 8! so me and pok headed down to arts canteen for breakfast while waiting for pam and shiru to come! we saw sally and started crapping with her! that sally is so diff from the sally when i first knew her! :D

after rag, we went to holland v for lunch at yi bao and followed by ice cream :)) we had zhi jun , yanwei and leon with us :)) hong ping was entertaining us with all his crazy comments about MILK!! :D insider story! aahahahas! :DD zhi jun was super tired and she like jus fell flat on the table to sleep. yanwei still camp high and laughing and banging the table! :D
super tired when i reached home so i jus popped onto the bed and sleep! preparing for sch tmr! finally sch is starting! i'm quite hyped up about going for lectures and burying myself in lecture notes and tutorials! yeah man! i'm quite frightened for one of my level 2 mod! need to do lun wen! oh gosh! i think i will totally die! and its all seniors in this mod! next time do grp work sure chui one! oh man!

thurs was war games at west coast park! wows, couldnt wake up in time to meet the og at clementi interchange and i was late for half an hour! thank god they were still there when i reached if not i really dunno how to make my way to west coast park! the freshie turn up for war games was not bad and there were enough pple for us to play ji ge ji ge zhan qi lai! hahas... shiru say the councillors didnt teach them this game cause they were waiting for me to come back and play! :D fun fun fun! in the end, i who initiated the game had to do forfeit! passing a newater water bottle with our armpits and mouth! sounds damn gross!
war games i played more games and there was this passing the food with ur mouth game which was like totally gross! oh man! esp the potato chips and noodle! but at least i was the second one in line den not so er xin! it was super tempting to eat the food! esp porky!
and the captain ball game which is using fruits as the balls. so tempted to eat the watermelon! :D but the orange smell jus sticks to you the whole day long! yanwei's station was damn disgusting with the chilli, bbq and curry sauce plus paint! faints! my white shorts total kenna!
i opened the packet of gummy bears that shiru bought for me and everyone started chasing after me for the gummy bears until shiru opened her packet of M&Ms den my gummy bears became safe!
after war games was lunch on our own so we headed down to queensway to get our alpheus singlet to wear for rag day! yeah man! its sooo nicee!! but i tink i ordered the singlet size too big liao cause the side damn bigg!! ate at kfc at anchor point and while the rest went back to sch for finale, i stayed behind with 2 fresh freshies, winnie and xuan ting to finish my cheesey melts and chit chat :)
fri was rag day! met pok early in the morn to go sch. we were at vivo super early and all the glass doors haven open so we were going from door to door to try out which sliding door was operating! it was the third door! and when we were jumping out of vivo, we saw bus 10 and w went argh! the pple at the bus stop got a shock and they turned ard to look at us! it also doesnt help that we were running like elephants! though malu, we jus couldnt stop laughing when we got onto the bus! :D
rag started at 10 but we were in sch at 8! so me and pok headed down to arts canteen for breakfast while waiting for pam and shiru to come! we saw sally and started crapping with her! that sally is so diff from the sally when i first knew her! :D
took lots of photos with the rag floats.

was standing in the medicine block on chairs to watch the rag dances and floats.
after rag, we went to holland v for lunch at yi bao and followed by ice cream :)) we had zhi jun , yanwei and leon with us :)) hong ping was entertaining us with all his crazy comments about MILK!! :D insider story! aahahahas! :DD zhi jun was super tired and she like jus fell flat on the table to sleep. yanwei still camp high and laughing and banging the table! :D
super tired when i reached home so i jus popped onto the bed and sleep! preparing for sch tmr! finally sch is starting! i'm quite hyped up about going for lectures and burying myself in lecture notes and tutorials! yeah man! i'm quite frightened for one of my level 2 mod! need to do lun wen! oh gosh! i think i will totally die! and its all seniors in this mod! next time do grp work sure chui one! oh man!
i'm burnt like a LOBSTER now!! after war games and rag day in the sun without sunblock, being burnt like a LOBSTER is the end result! :D

today is the day i live again!! hoho! sounds damn dramatic but oh wells! joanne is really a very very happy girl today!! :)))) i am back in the company of alpheus!!
rejoined o week today. met pam first den met abnanas at chinatown. i was having my long awaited hashbrown and sausage macmuffin! after days of white bread and water!
sab is super funny! she was walking in front of the og den when she saw me, she started to jump and hop into macs! hahas... in the midst of hugs from the girls, i was introduced to the rest of abnanas! a bit hard to rmb all the names at one go but i managed to rmb a few. hoho! since it was flag day, obviously we have to go ard and collect the donations with the tins! i was supposed to be paired with yvonne but sab's freshie and yvonne ran away so i was left with sab :)) talking nineteen to a dozen cause sab had lots and lots of things to tell me!
who can resist a little shopping along the way? :D me and sab were walking ard with the tin and walking into a boutique and trying on hats! but we werent lazy! we jus happen to pass by! :D anyways, the tin got filled los!
after chinatown, it was to farrer park to weigh the tins and do some cheers to get power-ups or brain food as it is called this time :) wows! i seriously missed doing cheers man!
after farrer park, it was to hougang mall for lunch! my territory! we managed to find one whole row of tables that could accommodate us. talking to one of the fresh freshies at my table and i realise that we have common cedar frens like yumin and naima. but the ulltimate topic that got us excited was tataric! oh man! her name has travelled beyond the walls of nanyang le!
i went home after hougang while the rest proceeded onto buangkok and later to town. had super lot of fun with them though it was only for a few hours :)) yeah! tmr is beach day! sun, sand and sea!! whoppeee!!

i jus had my somewhat last blood test!! whoppee!! no more big fat needles sticking into my skin and having it plucked out again cause the nurse said that she cant find my veins! faints!
anyways, i'm super happy and high now cause my white blood cells and platelets are back to acceptable levels! yeah man!! the only thing is that my liver is still swelled up and i cant jump ard that much until my liver is back to its normal size. and how i know when my liver is back to its normal size?? i have to take another blood test next next fri! gosh! till then! i will enjoy life to the fullest!!
finally i can rejoin o week! have been hearing so many stories from pok, sab and shiru! finally i'm coming back! yeah man!!
did bidding last thurs and i managed to get 4 out of 5 modules at a very cheap price of 5 points! i got soci 1101, hist 1101, chinese studies 1101 and one level 2 chinese language and culture. i'm monitoring the stock market for my last module now which is changing landscapes of singapre. this module is scary! in the morn when i went into CORS to place my bid, the highest bid was already thousand plus! how to fight with the seniors?? for my chinese lang and culture module, apparently i am the only bidder! cool! so i will be having like personal one on one tuition for this module! hahahaas!

joanne feels super bored at home now and cant probably feel anything worst than she has felt in her entire life!!
if i ever find that mosquito that bit me and passed me the dengue virus, i am going to pluck out its wings one and one and burn the rest of its body!! argh!! yes, i am diagnosed with dengue as some of you already know. this is totally killing me mans! i have had so much blood taken from me tht i'm bruised all over. :((
it started with on and off fever that didnt subside and i went to a western doc on monday. she took my blood and told me all the crap abt how chinese medicine and doctors cant be trusted. all the time, she was telling me that she suspected i got dengue. at night, the clinic jus called to tell me to go down to the hospital because my platelets and white blood cells were below accpetable levels. my god! i was so stunned at that i couldnt believe it!! i was so scared and lost that i was wandering and making phone calls in a daze :((
made a trip down to tan tock seng A and E and i visited CDC twice le. its dengue nonetheless but at least its a not so serious case. i dun have much of the symptoms except wanting to vomit and the on off fever.
what i'm most gek abt is that i am missing O week!! oh my goodness!! how long have i been looking forward to O week?? not fair not fair not fair not fair not fair!! i wan2 be rah rah-ing with alpheus/abnana!!!!!!!! i wan2 jump ard and have fun! i wan to go t the beach and play volleyball! i wan to dunk pple into the sea! i wan to know fresh freshies! i wan to be playing crazy MRT/pinchin games all day long!! argh argh!! kill me!
BUT i am coming back next week!! the doctor has given the clearance!! :DDDD
thanks to all the sms(es) and words of concern :)) esp alpehus and ming and jov :) for being my pillar of strength and comfort when i was scared and everything seemed so uncertain. for making me smile and laugh with ur silly tactics. for calling and asking how am i :)) you guys jus never fail to make me feel loved :))
