this is the first blog post from my new PINK LAPPIE! yeah mans! i have been missing for about donkey years! too tired to recall what really happen in the past 2 weeks or so. the major thing that happened is that now i am the honorary general secretary(hon gen sec) for the 29th Management Committee :))

last weekend was whisked off for rites of passage(ROP) aka takan camp for the elects. :D its a camp to prepare us for MC life and it really pushed us physically and mentally. after dialouge session, i was really doubting my ability to handle MC stuff and studies but chuan seng was telling me to go for ROP before making a decision. during ROP, there was really an internal struggle within me as well. i wanted to quit but the 29th made me stop. i think the bond between us have already been forged and i know i will feel super guilty for abandoning them. in the end, i stayed on and at this point of time, i am really glad that i did not give up! :))

ROP made me a stronger person but it also made me a pai ka! i have a stress induced fracture on my right ankle :( i strained my ankle on the first night during the 8km run which obviously i didnt finish all 8km. 2nd day was walking ard singapore for 9 hours and southern ridges at night so it was overwork on the ankle. plus the 3rd day during the ROP march, i fell down the stairs thus the injury! oh well, now i am stuck with unglam slippers to wear to sch everyday! :S

evaluation by the seniors on sunday showed me sides of myself that i have not seen before. yupp, i will work towards being a better person by capitalising on my strengths and improving on my weakness :) evaluation ended at about 12, so me, ivan and yanwei stayed over in the arts club room after supper at fong seng. my first lecture was at 12pm on monday and i managed to sleep until about 11.10 before going for lect. super shiok!

internal elections on wed night almost killed me! we took 9 hours from 7pm to 3am to elect the president, vice president and hon gen sec into office! after that, everyone jus passed the confidence vote to vote the rest into office meaning that no more presentations and Q&As cause we were so super tired! the whole internals ended at about 6.

i was booted out during the run for vice president. but the run for hon gen sec was successful :)) it was my second choice and up to now i still cant believe that i got the post! when i first joined MC, i never imagined myself taking up this post, i was intent on getting the post for FOP chairperson. yupps, so now the hon gen sec i am! :) thankies to everyone for the constant encouragement and support during this trying period of time!

today when i was walking ard sch, everyone was like 'whoo hoo! hon gen sec sia!' hahas... esp that stupid ivan who keeps calling me 'big shot'! and melvin and ashton have been clowns over my post as well as can seen from my tag board! hahas! they make me roll on the floor with laughter! hahahahas! excuse me! i'm still a commoner alrights? hahahas!

for now, i am going to bury and drown myself in my readings! :(( not an exactly ideal way to spend the weekend!
