2nd day which is my birthday which is my fave-est day which is my most touched day which is the day i feel myself bursting with love for alpheus!!

most of alpheus was sleeping over for pre camp the next day and i was bunking with pris and shiru. i went to bed first cause super tired and the 2 of them wanted to wash up. i happily fell asleep and i was already dreaming when suddenly someone flinged open the door and shouted tat pris/shiru has rolled down a slope! it sounds damn weird now but i was literally shocked out of my sleep because the tone was super urgent and loud! i was super lang bei cause i cant find my specs and slippers and tumbled out of the door!

the whole corridor was covered in smoke like there was a fire! den i saw melvin holding the birthday cake and thats was when they started singing the birthday song! i saw the heart shape they created with sparklers on the ground floor. i was dumbfolded for a moment! the cake was chocolate mousse! yummy! and the birthday card they made! winnie the pooh! oh mans! i'm sooo touched by the effort that ALPHEUS put in for me! that night i felt super loved!

didnt went back to bed after that! instead me, pris and cindi talked into the night until about 4 while the opp room took my mahjong set and gambled! shared bed with cindi and the whole night i was sticking to the wall!hahas...

2nd day i went for pre camp cause PA camp was campus tour which we already had during arts camp! the turn out for Attila was 'wonderful'! ALPHEUS=ATTILA! there were only 7 of us representing the house! we were subsequently joined by 4 others from apollo and aries :))

second day of pre camp was war games and beach games. war games was getting dirty and i was looking forward to beach games because i wanted to go into the sea! this time i wouldnt attract sharks le!

when i reached palawan beach, second surprise of the day!! the surprise was soooo BIG and UNEXPECTED that i was stunned for a moment! after that moment of stun-ness, i was sooo HIGH that i started jumping up and down and dancing ard on the beach!! whoooopeee! i felt like i went to heaven!! no wonder pok kept laughing to herself the night b4 and say there was a surprise waiting for me but i didnt expected it to be THIS!!!! best birthday gift!! :D :))) sun rays started peeking throught the grey clouds!!

one or 2 games were repeated and the rest were new. at the last station, while waiting for our opponent, michelle suddenly appeared in with 2 tubs of ben and jerry! yeah man! but it was super frozen and i bent 2 spoons while trying to scoop the ice cream!

after the last station, i was thrown into the sand pit and muah chee-ed! of which being thrown into the sea followed!! thanks ALPHEUS! they kept saying deeper deeper,i was so scared i cant touched the sea bed! thank god for being tall! hahahahas... my nose hurted after being dunked!

mass games was tug of war and this time i was playing because there were so little pple in atilla that everyone had to play! the only thing i rmb abt tug of war is pulling pulling and pulling! plus anchoring my foot into the sand! it was the longest 5 mins of my life! when the game ended, i jus collasped onto the sand and i couldnt even feel my fingers!! sab had to pull off the gloves for me!

after we break camp, we went to bathe and while we were supposedly going down to mind's cafe to re-join PA camp but decided against it since its too late le. so we had og dinner at carl's junior at vivo with the zhijun, sun quan, yan wei and michelle. we had the whole outside area to ourselves and we took all the tables! we stayed and chit chat and played senseless games until about 10.30 when the whole of vivo closed le!

me, pris, ashton, sab, sherman and michelle went back to sch while the rest went home. when we reached back to the room, the 2 of us jus collasped onto the bed and talked. until we heard a knock on the door and pris being afraid of ivan pushed me to the door to see if it was ivan. i looked through the peek hole and saw ashton, ivan, sab and sherman standing in front of my door. i opened the door and they asked me weird ques like 'what time is it now?' or 'you wan2 eat supper?' den sherman passed me a piece of paper and i couldnt figure out head or tail of what it is! den out came big furry bear which is the birthday present from ALPHEUS! they act rmb-ed the casual comment i made about how i would melt if someone made me a bear from BUILD A BEAR!! this time was really super super extremely touched!! arrrr!!! the bear can talk and it even has heartbeat! :DD

ALPHEUS! I JUS LOVE YOU GUYS SOOOO MUCH!! thanks for letting my 19th birthday start and end with a blast!! i'm super touched that you guys would act put in so much effort for my birthday!! esp the bear and the arrangement that was supposed to come with it but didnt! neh mind! i still feel SUPER SUPER LOVED BY YOU ALL!! yeah man! i'm glad that fate brought all of us together as ALPHEUS!!

i'm back from my 2nd/3rd camp!! whoppeee! i feel super loved by alpheus!


first day
reported for pre-camp first at 8 o clock cause needed to pay for camp/o-week fees. first person we saw was zhi jun and den yan wei. when i told yan wei that i brought mahjong, his face was super comical! alpheus started to arrive one by one and while we were waiting for pre camp to start, we started playing dai dee. so we came to the conclusion that during o week, the ice breaker games for the fresh freshies would be dai dee, poker, bridge etc! :D me, ruoyi, serene, sab, ashton and sheman jumped over to PA camp to gt our room keys and dump our big heavy bags!

as usual camps will always start off with ice breakers. my og was super chui on the first day! only 3 pple! my goodness! and i was forced to do the most malu forfeit in my life after losing a game! after lunch was contemplating whether or not to jump back to pre camp or stay for cycling. in the end, my leg muscles win, i stayed for cycling.

it was cycling from east coast to changi and back, the total journey was abt 18km. totally killed me! i had a faulty bike in which the handlebar was loose and somehow or rather i managed to cycle abt 6 km with it without any accidents except lots of frustration at having to adjust the handle bar! :D in the end, i change a bike with a nanyang senior.

i love the stretch of road along changi airport :)) i love watching the planes land and take off. sometime i might jus try to peddle a little faster to catch up with the aeroplanes :))

we had dinner at changi village and by then, our butts are so sore we are all exclaiming in agony when we sit down at the tables for dinner! so you can guess that cycling back the same way was not exactly an inviting idea! by the time we reach back, we were super chui and jus slumped in our seats in macs while waiting for the bus to come!

3rd day
3rd day was sentosa again but this time the weather was totally crazy! its was so super hot! if it was not for the fact that my mum will disown me if i get burnt again, i wouldnt like squeeze the whole bottle of sunblock lotion all over me!

i love the hai tai and tortoise game! that was the game that prevented us from being burnt! cause tht was the game that enabled us to jump into the water! mass games was trying to use flour and tomato sauce to stick paper balls onto our ogl's faces. the flour was really icky!

i was standing ard when suddenly someone smacked wet flour onto my face! i turned ard only to see ashton laughing and running away! it turned out that he did it to everyone in alpheus so we chased after him and pinned him down and smacked flour on his face too! revenge!!

we went off to bathe near the toilet at the beach station and didnt have to fight with everyone! after bathing, we went to buy ice cream which is like sooo yummy-licious after a day in the sun! we took the tram back to kou fu to meet the rest,only to walk back all the way to the beach station to take the train back to vivo! bleahx!

marche night! marhce food is good but ex too! that crazy yong shen joined us too and it was super weird seeing him in corporate wear!

we didnt really sleep on the 3rd night! went to the PA room and played cards which was quite diao! me and pris left at about 2 plus to go for rag. walking through NUS at this time of the night is plain scary! was gluing triangles together to form squares. at about 5, couldnt take it le so me, pris, ivan and jeromne went back to bed!

this time i didnt even bother brushing my teeth! jus collapsed onto the bed!

4th day
nothing much! playing indian poker with the rest while waiting for everyone to return their pillows and bed sheets.

me, pris, ivan and melvin left earlier to go for brunch at fong seng. first time there! the pattani rice is nice! next time this will be a regular hang out place for me! :D

full and sleepy, we took cab home and i jus collasped onto the bed! :D

its 1 am in the morn and instead of going to bed, i am blogging because i am seriously behind blg posts since fri! :s

fri's og outing was fun fun fun! there was a slightly different bunch of pple this time. priscilla, sabrina, shiru, hong ping, mingee, sherman, ashton, pamela, yan wei, adeline, zhi jun, melvin and me :D i was supposedly early but i waited for priscilla at control station and we ended up being one of the latest! hahas...

we ate at astons and boy did we hog a large number of tables! astons food is good and cheap! now that there is an astons at grand cathy, i dun have to go all the way down to the east area! hahas... but the service was super slow and they mixed up quite a number of side dish orders. oh well, we were jus talking and laughing throughout dinner which is really nicee feeling and the atmosphere at astons was cosy :)) there was a long long quene outside astons and we could feel them staring daggers at us. opps! we were saying that the moment we leave would vacant so many tables for so many pple! :D

after dinner was tau huey at rochor rd! ashton's so called world class tau huey standard drop liao! the bean curd jus taste like any ordinary tau huey! its no longer as silky smooth as last time! we were sitting in the back alley and again hogging a lot of tables! hahas...

sat was birthday BBQ with my relatives :)) morn went grocery shopping and i jus love the feeling of going through aisle after aisle and throwing things into the trolley! but when it comes to the time to pay, its a diff story :D

BBQ in the evening at changi. my aunt brought a portable stove to the BBQ pit and fried noodles and rice in the middle of nowhere! cheers to portable technology! the other pple BBQ-ing were staring dumbfold at us! ahahahaas... i got photos as evidence! :p as usual my dad was given the job of starting the fire! and he tried to wipe his charcoal black hands on me! there was one streak across my forehead when i wasnt looking! so childish!

i tink recently i am photo mad! i was taking the camera and going ard taking photos which explains the huge number of photos in my memory card now! wows! this time my cake is bought by my brother! so surprised!! hahas... dun ask me why! jus surprised that he will buy a cake for me! its a big fruity cake :)) my fave mangoes!

was talking nineteen to a dozen with JIEMEI! about sch! seriously i cant wait for sch to start! so exciting! lalalalas! and we took lots of crazy photos! when the BBQ ended, the night was still young so we went back to my house for mahjong!! mahjong mahjong!! but i lost 7 bucks! bleahx!

the late night explains why i woke up super late today! and the amazing thing is that my parents slept till 11 plus too! something which they frown upon when my brother and i does it!

the whole day was spent at my aunt's house for a casual lunch. my another NUS cousin jus came from england for a one year exchange programme. wows! he changed super a lot cans! he looks more mature and the most unmistakable thing is his ang mo accent! hahas... feels super weird talking to him! he told me stories about his exchange programme which made me super excited for my own exchange programme too! if i ever get to go! hahas... the expenses are sky high de!

we made a discovery! his fren is one of the organisers for PA camp which i will be attending in 7 hours time! hoho! so my cousin said that he will come down during one of the days for camp to come see see! but i doubt he will see me cause i will be running between PA camp and pre camp! :D

i cut another birthday cake which is also fruit cake! it was supposed to be my cousin's welcome home cake but they stuck candles into the cake and said that it was my birthday cake! oh wells, touched all the same :))

thats all for my weekend! i'm blogging so late because i will be MIA for one week! the next time i come online, there will be lot of things to update!

last day of work! whoppee! have never been so happy to get out of a place! no more classes to relief! no more looking at the ah bengs and ah lians! no more fearing that the discipline comm pple will walk past the corridors! i can totally put down the burden of being a teacher le! yeah man!

yest took leave to go for medical checkup. in the morn, went back to nanyang with jovena to take our A level cert together with the SGC. oh my goodness! the SGC is super nicee! very official document feeling. ehs wait a min! the SGC is a formal document so of cos it will have an official document feeling! :p

feel so out of place and nanyang has changed quite a bit. the canteen tables and benches are now glued together, there are more consultation tables outside the staffroom. they changed the notice board outside the canteen and there is now 2 internet-enabled computers outside the canteen! gosh! the student welfare jus gets better every year! but oh well, i am glad that at least my batch got to use the new campus :))

wanted to find zhang lao shi but didnt see him. saw ng how wee in lesson and we couldnt go in and disturb! hahas... saw mr nathan, mr nandwani and pio! had little chats with them about impending uni life. oh oh!! mr nandwani showed me the photo of his baby! soooo cute! she looks exactly like him when they have the angry expression! :D

went down to vivo after nanyang to meet ashton and pamela to go for medical check up at NUS together. i was early so i was busy playing mario kart while waiting for them. at first we thought that we had to starve for 10 hours b4 medical check up but it turns out that the standard medical check up doesnt have blood test so we didnt need to starve! we ate at kim gary's resturant and i had really sinful portions of cheese and potato! :D i regretted my choice of dishes when we were taking height and weight! oppps!!

the 3 of us were super kuku! when we walked up from kent ridge terminal, we wanted to wait for shuttle bus A2 and B. the interval was 30 mins and we were lazy to wait so we thought we would walk over to the SDE bus stop and take SBS bus. while we were at the traffic light waiting to cross the road, both shuttle buses came!! oh my goodness! i tink those pple who waited at the same bus stop as us earlier were laughing their heads off mans!

medical check up was nervous!! esp the doctor's examination! poke and poke! hoho!after medical check up was about 4 plus and since i had tuition at 7, it doesnt make sense to go home. so we headed to arts canteen to grab a bite.

at about 5 plus, we were going to walk to kent ridge terminal when we saw the arts rag pple. seeing them at work made uis obliged to help so we helped to curl the metal strips. was asking one of the seniors about joining arts club and she say to get into management comm need to campaign de! oh my god! that is like the thing i dread most!!

ashton is crazy! he say that no one from our og is in he running for arts king and queen and that it would be quite boring to go for arts bash if this is the case. therefore, on msn, we went into a frenzy and ask everyone to vote me for arts queen! like HUHS?? for goodness sake,i cant even coordinate my hands and legs to dance, how to arts queen?? he even put that on his nic and i jus wish that i could reach into cyberworld and cross over to his side of the comp and strangle him!! yan wei also another crazy one de! they say i win arts queen den i will auto win the arts camp campaign! bleahx! dun tempt me! i very realistic one!!

oooh! happy happy day! thanks to my fave-est girls who totally made my day! :D

met mingg and jovena for a mini birthday celebration cause mingg will be out of singapore next week! she is going to my beloved taiwan and hong kong! ming! can i hide in your suitcase? :D we wanted to catch a movie but decided to take our own sweet time for lunch instead of rushing through. so in the end, we gave the movie a miss :)

we ate at the bird net cafe located at orchard point OG. OG was completely deserted on a mid week weekday afternoon! there was like only 2 tables occupied at the cafe as compared to the having to wait for a table on weekends. we were at the cafe for over 2 hours until we were the only customers left! :D the food was terrific! we had dim sum, fried noodles, mango crepe with mango ice cream, chocolate moouse cake, sushi and clam chowder soup! super filling! act we had a bird nest rice also but the boss forgot our order and lucky for that! if not we really would burst from full-ness! :D

while i went to the toilet, the 2 sneaky girls stuff into my bag and put a card on the table. when i came back, they were all but acting innocent. pretending to pay the bill den ignore my reaction! ahahahas... kk,i appreciate that little effort! thankies dearies!

after our late late lunch cum tea, with no where to go, we headed back to PS and this time i rmb to buy my FBTs! :D we spent quite a long time squatting there and choosing the colours. :)) after which, i headed to the manicure shop for a manicure!

or rather it was only me doing maicure cause mingg and jov jus cut their nails! haiyo, in the end, both of them played with my DS while i pamper myself! ahahahs... 20 mins and i am done! :D

now i feel super elegant with painted nails! :)) i hope this is helping to cure my bad habit of biting my nails! bleahx!

one word to conclude how i felt yest: CHUI! :D


conquered the southern ridges with zhi liang, dorothy and melissa and it almost killed me! it started when my brother's crazy alarm ringed at 4.45 and i woke up to off it for him cause he was snoring like a pig and was dead to the world! i shun bian on the heater and went back to sleep while waiting for my own alarm to ring. i was surprised it didnt ring and it was only den that i realised i woke up at 4 plus!! argh!


me, zhi liang and melissa ate macs breakfast while waiting for dorothy. we stood out like a sore thumb because everyone was in corporate wear while the 4 of us were in tee shirt and shorts. :p in order to have enough energy to walk 8 km, i had hotcakes for breakfast :)


we started at normanton/kent ridge park. the scenery wasnt all spectacular cause it was jus the usual treesand branches. :p we walked the long long bridge and it was pretty scary to peer over the railings cause we are jus so far above ground level. -shudders- act i dun really rmb our route. i jus rmb we came out of the forest area and came to this huge huge garden that had really pretty flowers and that was when we started taking photos.


all the way to the hort park when there were supe nicee garden displays and we went crazy here!! taking photos at every display and even joining the kids at the playground! :D we climbed like spiders, played on the see saw, slide on the slide, played with sand. jus relieving our childhood! there are lots of photos in testimony of this! :D


next was alexandra bridge. the metal bridge! this bridge is super long and we came to one of the intersections where the old colonial houses were. we walked the whole stretch and were gawking at the houses. uber cool!

yest was really not the day to conquer the southern ridges cause there werea lot of sections of the bridge closed to public for tree cutting. in the end, we had to climb the long long steep flight of stairs that led to the top! gasping for breath by the time we reached there! hahas...

there was more awaiting us! to get to henderson waves bridge, we had to climb a really really steep slope. dorothy said that the best way to go up a slope is to run in one breadth all the way to the top and that is exactly what zhi liang, dorothy and i did! melissa was taking a leisure stroll behind. all i can say from this episode is that my lungs capacity is really small! that run up the slope almost killed me!! BUT it was all worth it cause henderson waves bridge was really spectaular!!!

after henderson waves bridge was the road up to mount faber. super deserted and by then, i seriously only had half my life left! zhi liang was still supe high and singing all kinds of songs to entertain us! very gd! if not i would have jus lie there and sleep!

all the way from mount faber back to harbourfront mrt station, we were walking through forest areas again and this time we were hurrying on our way cause there were big black CUCUMBER clouds above us! hahas.. pardon me forthe term cucmuber clouds cause i really dunno the term that geographers use to describe such clouds! :D

jus when we were thinking longingly of the chicken rice at seah im rd food centre, we realised that the whole hawker center was closed!! what a day!! we ended up at yoshinoya. the moment we sit down is when the full extent of our tiredness hits us! by the end of f lunch, my eyes were dropping le!

it was home sweet home after lunch cause zhi liang needed to prepare his lesson plans also! i totally knocked off on the train while zhi liang was busy playing with my DS. so needless to say, the moment i reached home and bathe, it was sweet dreams on my nice comfy bed!! :D

SHAG and CHUI are the perfect words to desribe me yest!! :D

this week is really a happening week! hoho! i realised that the whole of this week i have been going out after work :D

thurs went down to ps to meet mingg for a chat at starbucks. recently i'm super hooked on coffee!! esp starbucks's caramel fraucpinno :) we found a table with the sofa seats and it was so comfortable that the both of us could have fallen asleep there and then! we were wondering after finishing 2 big cups of coffee we should be super awake but how come its jus the reverse effect??!!
that girl managed to get into her dream course-- SMU law!! congrats congrats! i was entertaining her with stories about arts camp and i hope it made her heart itchy to go for her own orientation camp! :D she was playing diner dash on my DS and i can she is super entertained by it! hohohho!
i felt damn dumb! i wanted to buy FBTs for informal camp next next week and while i was at PS, the matter totally slipped my mind! :S looks like i have to make another trip down to PS le.

friday's dinner was cancelled so after work at 12.30, i rushed home as soon as i could and flopped onto the bed! as a result, i slept a total of 4.5 hours from 2 to about 6.30! simply the best medicinr for a tired mind and body! i reckon i haven had a proper rest since Arts Camp. but oh well, at least it is because that i am having fun thats why i dun have enough rest! :D

today was shopping shopping shopping! went down to tampines mall for the hokkaido fair with my mum and boy it totally rocked! the food was super though i have to quene at every stall for at least 15 mins! made me super tempted to buy an air ticket and fly to hokkaido right away! other than the food, what i love most about hokkaido is the prety flower blooms that they have all year round! :) i think now is the season for my fave bright yellow sunflowers! :D i could jus stay in the flower field, stare at and smell the pretty flowers the whole day! nature really does wonders! :))

oooh, i spent a bomb today! shoes, clothes, bag and acessories. my room is going to burst from the amount of shopping that i have been doing recently. opps! joanne is a happy girl! :)) yeah man!
